Dún Laoghaire is a well-connected DART town on Dublin Bay, popular with families, remote workers and English-language students. Housing runs from Victorian terraces to modern apartments near the harbour. Rents are lower than Dublin 4 but higher than the outer commuter belt. A national rent cap applies since March 2026, limiting increases to the lower of 2% or inflation.
