Cavan offers some of the lowest rents in Leinster's border region, with most listings concentrated in Cavan town and Bailieborough. Supply is thin so properties move fast. Since 1 March 2026, a national rent control system applies across Ireland, including Cavan. Rent increases are capped at the lower of 2% per year or the general rate of inflation, and rent may be reviewed once every 12 months.
